About Carina

Born in Harare, Zimbabwe on 31 August 1965 — the eldest of four children. Carina grew up on a farm with her loving grandparents in Zimbabwe. When it became more challenging to remain on the farm, her family relocated to the northern suburbs of Cape Town, beginning again with courage, grit, and hope.

She holds a B.A. from Stellenbosch University and a Higher Education Diploma. She is an educator, gymnastics coach, author, publisher, and natural connector — known for linking people with opportunities that transform their lives and help them thrive. She brings over 25 years of coaching, teaching, and network marketing experience.

Carina is nurturing, intuitive, and fiercely visionary. A grounded pioneer, she often finds herself at the genesis of transformative movements. She carries the wisdom of the land — trees, rivers, valleys — and the resilience of her roots in Zimbabwe. Her emotional tone is one of deep care, fierce protection, and unwavering belief in humanity's potential.

She is a key connector and bridge builder in the NewEarth Africa movement with Sacha Stone — beginning in Barotseland, Zambia, in a win-win-win model that is changing everything.

Carina is not just creating a movement — she is closing the gap between timeless wisdom and the millions who would never otherwise have access to it.

Last year Carina discovered something extraordinary — her name corresponds to the Carina constellation, home to Canopus, the second brightest star in the Southern Hemisphere.

Canopus has guided navigators across the African continent for centuries. It is visible from southern Africa on clear nights — a fixed point of light in a turning sky.

Carina did not choose this name consciously. Perhaps her soul did. This discovery lives in the heart of her children's book series — where star wisdom, African animals, and ancient knowing come together for the youngest readers.

The Roots

Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, into a family of educators. A childhood on a farm with beloved grandparents. The smell of African rain. Red soil under bare feet. When it became time to leave, her family began again in Cape Town — with courage, grit, and hope.

The Dream

For over 20 years Carina held a vision — a flame rising and becoming a great light from the area where Zimbabwe, Malawi, and Zambia meet. She knew she was part of that light. Part of something on a grand, magnificent scale. Nobody believed her. She kept the dream alive anyway.

The Calling

Twenty years of gymnastics coaching, tutoring, network marketing, public speaking, and deep inner work — including Theta Healing — converged into one clear mission: making timeless wisdom accessible to every African in their own language.

The Movement

Rise Up and Shine Africa is now live — books on Amazon, languages growing, workshops planned, Guides being trained, and an NPO in development. The dream of 20 years is becoming real. Africa is rising. And Carina is part of that light.
